Eden Hansted
Behaviour Specialist
Field of Work and Experience
Eden has worked in out of home care for two and a half years. Starting as a youth worker and moving into his current role. This includes writing therapeutic care plans, providing behaviour support to young people and training carers to provide the best possible care with available resources. Eden is very passionate about training carers and imparting skills to improve the overall therapeutic care provided to the young people he works with.
Eden is always striving to build new resources and tools for carers and young people and loves to share these with other clinicians.
Eden started working with children and adolescents in 2011 when he started teaching children of all ages how to swim, eventually specialising in teaching children with neurodivergence and physical disabilities.
After completing his psychology degree Eden worked at a primary school as a behaviour support aid, which saw him supporting young people who struggled with social skills and emotional regulation.
Eden enjoys watching young people thrive and believes wholeheartedly that all it takes is one trusting and healthy relationship to make that happen.
Aspirations and Personal Interests
Eden’s biggest aspiration in life is to never stop growing as an individual and to continue to challenge himself in all aspects of his personal and professional life.
Outside of work, Eden is a martial arts fanatic, athlete and cherishes the time he spends with his wife and fur-baby Bella.
