Field of Work and Experience
Grahame has over 25 years’ experience having worked with children, adolescents and their parents/carers as a care manager, adolescent family counsellor and play therapist. Grahame has worked in a number of settings, including, youth centres, residential care, rural community, private sector and not-for-profit agencies which has provided him with a broad knowledge of issues facing children and parents/carers.
Grahame has over the years developed many short workshops for carers and parents to gain an understanding and give strategies on topics such as: RAD (reactive attachment disorder), The Power of Play, TBRI and Theraplay.
Grahame’s has a passion for working with children from trauma backgrounds, children with attachment problems and suffering from anxiety. In recent years his focus has been around attachment therapies such as Theraplay and using TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention) to help parents/carers and their children.
Aspirations and Personal Interests
Having 4 children of his own Grahame understands the pressures and issues of raising children in this time. Grahame is passionate about cricket, NRL and AFL and is always either reading a book about history or crime.
