Qualifications
James completed his Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in 2009 and is currently completing a Masters of Clinical Psychology. James is Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA) and a registered specialist practitioner with the NDIS.
Field of Work and Experience
James has spent the past 10 years working in various roles supporting youth impacted by trauma and adverse life experiences. James has experience supporting children, families, and adults who struggle with a diverse range of mental health challenges, including; depression & anxiety, stress management concerns, developmental impairments, behavioural challenges and social interaction difficulties. When providing individual therapy or supporting the implementation of positive parenting interventions, James draws from a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
Aspirations and Personal Interests
Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his children and family, travelling, reading, and watching the footy.
